The Story Behind EasyHabits

About the Creator

My name is Hayk Mnatsakanyan. I'm a solo iOS developer based in Poland, and I built EasyHabits.

I built it because every habit app I tried made goals feel like chores. One missed day and the streak — and with it the motivation — was gone. Ads, upsells, and subscription nags got in the way before I'd even built my first habit. So I made the app I wanted to use.

What Makes EasyHabits Different

EasyHabits turns habit-building into a journey with a finish line. You pick a duration between 21 and 66 days, split it into checkpoints, and celebrate each one you reach — starting with your very first win, which gets its own animated celebration the day you log it. Habit-building shouldn't be an infinite grind; it should feel like progress.

What I Believe

Small, consistent actions beat grand gestures. Celebrating progress beats guilt-tripping. And an honest tool beats a growth machine:

  • The core tracker is free and never nags you to buy anything.
  • iCloud sync is free, forever — no account, ever.
  • Widgets and Live Activity are free for everyone, too.
  • No ads, no marketing notifications.
  • Your data stays on your iPhone, synced through your own iCloud — never sold.

EasyHabits is independently built — no venture capital, no dark patterns. Premium exists for people who want more depth: unlimited habits, skips, reminders, and deep insights. It never holds the basics hostage.
